‘Resilience is all about being able to overcome the unexpected’

The focus of the training is on how to survive for 12 minutes. This is the average duration of a weapon attack in the workplace, school or campus. Global Insight’s weapon attack workshop is unlike any active shooter training on offer. It is designed and delivered by Global Impact’s senior consultants. It focuses on the people who are most likely to encounter and manage a violent incident in the workplace and not on the police response. We believe unreservedly that defending against an active shooter or knife wielding individual is extremely difficult. What is not unreasonable however, is to be totally prepared, equipped, and poised to meet any such attacks if or when they occur.
The workshop is interactive and teaches your staff to plan and be flexible in their response to a weapon attack. Learn what to do during a weapon attack in your building – 12 minutes to survival, and how physical security, training, and drills save lives – Do the unexpected - Run, Hide, Fight - The dilemma of having people and children under your care - Understanding the police response to an active shooter - Edged weapon attacks and how to react and defend yourself and others - Lockdown during an external threat - Lockdown during and internal threat - Can your building successfully achieve a lockdown? - How best to protect your people and property through training and physical security.
